Beach2Battleship is committed to the safety of our participants and to helping the motorists and citizens of the Wilmington region avoid traffic issues and delays during the event on November 7, 2009. Please visit our TRAFFIC HOT SPOTS page to see key roads, areas and times to avoid them during the event. Also, please be patient and aware of all cyclists on the roads at all times. Beach2Battleship will welcome 1,500 participants who will be competing on area roads. We need your help to ensure a fun, safe experience for all.

10/1/2009 B2B Full and Half - Course Maps Updated
Course Maps have now been updated for the Beach2Battleship Iron Distance and Half Iron Distance events. Flyover and interactive maps for the Full and Half will be updated soon. To view the new bike and run course maps for the Full or Half event simply click on the "COURSE" link found to the left of this screen.

The 2009 Beach2Battleship Half Iron Distance event has reached its capacity of 750 athletes. At this point there is no other option for entry into the Half.

The Beach2Battleship Full kicks off its first season in 2008
bringing the highly desired ultra distance back to the Carolinas. Complimented by a Half, this event will bring the 2008 triathlon season to an end in a big way!

Full Distance
- Before Saturday, November 7, 2009:
Individual Participant: $325.00
Relay Team: $450.00
Half Distance
- Before Saturday, November 7, 2009:
Individual Participant: $165.00
Relay Team: $250.00
There is a $10.00 fee for each non-USAT registrant.
Policies and Refunds
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until July 1, 2009 or until the event reaches its capacity. After this point there will be no refunds for any reason. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years.

Event Capacity
This event is limited to the first 1500 registrations (750 in the Full and 750 in the Half).
USAT Sanctioned
The Beach2Battleship Full is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.
Cut off Times
All participants must complete the event within 17 hours of the start of the swim. Individual discipline cut off times are seen below and are listed as cummulative times from the start of the swim. Event officials reserve the right to pull any athlete from the course if it appears he/ she will not complete the event within the posted cut off times.
Swim: 2 hours 20 minutes
Bike: 10 hours 15 minutes
Run: 17 Hours 00 minutes
Medical Form
The medical form is mandatory and must be filled out and turned in in order to get your event packet. Please download the form and bring it with you to packet pick up. You may find this form on the FAQ section of this web site under the Medical section.
Minimum Age
The minimum age allowed for participation in the Beach2Battleship Full is 18 years of age.
Timing System
Beach2Battleship will be timed using the ChampionChip Tming System.
