Elite triathletes are strongly encouraged to attend this Iron-distance event. Perks for 2011 include a $4990 pro purse, complimentary race entry, two- night homestay, transportation to and from the airport, and attendance at Friday's press conference.

Triathlete magazine named this as the fifth- best Iron-distance event in 2009 so make it a destination race.
